This poem weaves together the words we most need to hear, a journal exercise on our recent Shadowboxing Retreat. A huge bow of gratitude to the women who showed up, who said, "YES," repeatedly throughout the weekend, and who love themselves and others so gracefully and so willingly for their own healing and to heal the world in which we live.

I love you
You will never be alone
I am ok

What would kindness be?

Be still
You fucking made it
I am really grateful to be alive

Have faith
In myself and others
It's ok

Lighten up
I want to do this naturally
Laugh more

Everything we have is a right of passage
You can live in love or fear

When I transition
Will it be on the in breath
Or the out breath
Will it matter?

It's enough
You are enough
You are a part of me
I love you, too

Come with me
I am fucking tired of fighting
I want to walk into this space
I love you just exactly the way you are
Why don't you be you and I'll just be me?

I like who I am
I have come a long way
I just want to be me
I need to hear I love you

I don't know how to get below the surface
And I want to

Trust that you are enough
Be vulnerable
Believe in the power of your voice

You are perfect just the way you are

Receive these words
They are here for you

You have permission to actively wish

Actively wish.
